Watch your own golf
There are times when you feel that your game is just not going right. But you may not be able to point your fingers to what exactly is going wrong. The best thing to do then is to videotape yourself and watch yourself play. That is the best exercise you can do to improve your game. You can ask a friend to shoot you while you play. You can do it for him too as a return to his favor. If you cannot find anybody who is willing to do the camera work, then you will have to do it yourself. You can hang the camera on the card and then practice your shots facing it. Do not get too conscious of the camera. Just play naturally.
Once the shoot is over, you should go home and review it with a fresh mind. Avoid doing it right away on the course. Watch the video with a clear mind. No point being over or under biased. There will be many faults that will come out from the shot. Try and work on them instead of defending them. This is a great way to improve your game. If you are able to find out your own faults, then half the battle is won.
