Warm ups before the game of golf is very important for success in the game. A good warm up session helps tune the neuromuscular system. It optimizes the muscle force production and reinforces proper movement patterns that are particular specific to the golf swing. It also helps reduce the chances of an injury during the game.
All warm up routines must include both static as well as active stretching techniques. Static stretching is a passive stretch procedure where you need to relax the area that is being stretched in order to attain a greater series of motion. Active stretching includes movement that exploits and enhances the elasticity gained from the static stretches.
A good pre game warm up increases body temperature and strengthens the movement patterns that are particular to the game of golf.
