Titleist AP2 710 Irons
The Titleist AP1 irons have been slightly re-worked for 2010. The new AP1 710 still has the same classic lines and performance of the previous model however Titleist felt they could improve on the sound, feel, stability and forgiveness. The new Tuned Feel System is a co-molded medallion constructed of a soft elastomer and an aluminum plate that has been specifically designed with each iron in mind, greatly improving the feel and sound of the iron at impact. The other difference, albeit subtle, is that the face thickness has been reduced to provide enhanced heel-toe weighting as well as weighting deep to the frame of the club resulting in increased stability and ultimate forgiveness. Titleist engineers also moved the tungsten nickel material to the sole of the club to promote high launching approach shots. Although, there is not much difference visually with the AP1 710, Titleist dramatically altered the performance making this one of their most forgiving designs to date. There are a wide variety of custom options available and the irons come standard with Nippon shafts. If you want the latest and greatest from Titleist, give the new Titleist AP1 710 Irons a try.
