Taylormade R9 TP Irons
For the better player, Taylormade will soon release the R9 TP iron set. The R9 TP’s are classically styled and feature a small, compact head design with minimal offset and and a thinner top line than the standard R9 iron. The R9 was engineered for maximum performance, workability, control and forgiveness and feature both Inverted Cone Technology in the face as well as a Velocity Control Chamber in the 2-5 iron. The Inverted Cone Technology gives players added distance and the Velocity Control Chamber in the long and mid irons helps maximize the MOI making this the most forgiving players iron Taylormade has produced to date. A vibration dampening badge on the back of the club provides both a solid feel and sound at impact and the thinner, beveled sole minimizes turf resistance. The R9 TP irons are equipped with one of the highest performing steel shafts on the market, the KBS Tour Series. I havent been too sold on the R9 line but these irons look great. they appear to have a traditional shape and are less gimicky than the past iron line. They need to release a forged iron again!!!
