Some Basic Golf Etiquettes
Golf Etiquette refers to the code that determines the expectations of golf social behavior. Having a good golf etiquette is as important as knowing how to play the game well. In fact, certain clubs attach a lot of importance to etiquettes.
Here are some basic golf etiquettes:
• It is important that you remain silent for a few seconds when your partners are teeing off or putting. This way, your partner will not lose his concentration. We all like to chat with our friends. You can do that when you are walking to the next hole. Once your partner gives his shot, you can resume your conversation. You can set an example for others to follow.
• When your partner is lining up a putt, you must see to it that your shadow does not fall between the hole and his ball. This can be pretty distracting and your partner can even miss the hole.
• Fill up the divots with sand. It is the most accurate way to play golf. It is best to carry sand around. That way, even if you feel guilty of digging up holes, you can make up by filling up the holes with sand.
Following these basic etiquettes can make you a pleasure to play with in your club.
