Qatar Masters Golf Offers A Luxury Cruiser
There will be a luxury 26-foot Doral Monticello cruiser on offer at the $2.5 million Commercial Bank Qatar Masters that starts on Jan 24. The prize is for the first player who will be able to hole his tee shot on the par-three seventeenth. Andrew Stevens, the CEO of tournament sponsor Commercial Bank Qatar, was optimistic as he announced the playing line up along with the names of all the new sponsors for the Masters ahead of the 11th staging of the tournament. Some of the most experienced golfers like Ian Poulter and Paul Casey will be contending for the cruiser when they tee off at the Doha Golf Club.
Other contenders for the prized possession are of Luke Donald, Adam Scott, Sergio Garcia and Retief Goosen. Casey has already tasted victory in Abu Dhabi in 2006. Poulter had made his appearance at Dubai, Doha and Abu Dhabi but is yet to savor success. This will be the fifth visit to the Gulf state for the 31-year-old player. Even though he has not won any tournament as of now, he and Casey will still be among the favorites for the winner’s cheque of $416,660. In fact Casey is highly expected to take away the $150,000 luxury cruiser, courtesy Alfardan Marine, the tournament’s hole-in-one sponsor
