Miniature golf is getting popular
There are many forms of golfing. But among them, miniature golfing has gained tremendous popularity in the past few years. Miniature golf came into existence as a result of increasing demands of golf courses that do not have enough land at their disposal as normal golf courses. Thomas McCulloch Fairbairn was the pioneer in contributing to dramatic advancements in the miniature golf scenario. He introduced color dyes, tree landscaping, cottonseed hulls, artificial bunkers, curves and miniature lakes to replicate the more traditional golf sport.
Mini golf tournaments have gained tremendous popularity now. It is now even featuring on television especially channels like ESPN. This itself shows how much the game is liked and promoted. More and more people are now getting attracted to miniature golf. If we are to believe in statistics, than we will see that roughly 45% among the players of this popular game are families of people who are already into golf. Friends form groups to play the game too. The US ProMiniGolf Association, the officially renowned affiliate organizations in the World Minigolf Sports Federation is responsible for driving initiatives related to the game.
