Learn To Grip Your Clubs
The basic rule of improving your game of golf is to learn to grip the club properly. You will not be able to swing the club properly unless you grip it well. There are basically three kinds of grip but the basics of gripping are the same. When you place your hands on the clubs, then first you need to place your left hand on the club and rest the club on the ground. The thumb should point towards the ground with your fingers wrapped around the club.
The Baseball Grip:
As the name implies, in this kind of grip, the golf club is gripped in the same way the baseball club is gripped. The pinky of the right hand must lie next to the index finger of the left. It should not lie on top of each other.
The Overlapping Grip:
In this kind of grip, the pinky on the right hand is supposed to rest on top of the area between the index finger and the middle fingers.
The Interlocking Grip
In this kind of grip, the pinky of the right hand interlocks with the index finger of the left hand.
Whatever kind of grip you choose, you need to be comfortable with the one you choose. Otherwise, you will not be able to deliver.
