Graeme Mcdowell Is Happy For Himself
Graeme McDowell is looking forward to build on his fifth place at the Dubai Desert Classic at the inaugural Indian Masters after he managed to give numerous top players a tough competition at the Emirates Golf Club last week. Graeme was four shots adrift of champion Tiger Woods after carding four sub-par rounds. This is something that even the world number one has not managed to achieve. He also finished ahead of defending champion Henrik Stenson and world number 12 Sergio Garcia
Graeme outscored Tiger by shooting 69 to the American’s 73 - his first over-par round since the second day of last year’s Open. But, a final-round 70 was not sufficient for him. He had also scored a bogey at his last but one hole that left him 10 under for the event. He was a little disappointed but concluded that in general, it was a positive week. He was positive about his game. He felt that he was competing with the best in the game and had managed to maintain an identity of his own.
He had failed to make a mark at the 2004 Italia Open and 2002 Scandinavian Masters champion played at the Delhi Golf Club in the 2006 Indian Open. But, this time around he is confident of himself.
