Golf has many nuances attached. It is not simply about playing the game. A golfer needs to follow various rules and etiquettes to be allowed to play the game. The dress code is one such rule that golfers need to strictly adhere to. Many courses have set the dress code for all its golfers. Some may need them to wear long pants. Some might want them to wear collared shirts. All clubs require their golfers to wear proper golf shoes.

It is a basic etiquette to show up on time for your shots. You may even want to arrive before hand to be able to park your car or change into golf apparels. You must not carry any cell phones with you during your tee time. If it is extremely important, then you can carry it but keep it switched off in the bag during the game. You must also know when to keep quiet and when to talk. You must respect the other person’s need for silence. If you see that your peer is concentrating on a shot, then make sure you do not break their concentration. It is very important that you follow the basic rules of the game if you want to enjoy it.
