Fixing your golf grip
Having a good grip is one of the most fundamental aspects of golf. If your grip is weak, then it becomes difficult to hit the ball far and straight. One of the best ways to know that you have a weak grip is if you find that your gloves are getting holes too quickly. You can fix this problem quite easily.
You need to stand up straight with your arms hanging loosely at your sides. Then take your club in your left hand and let the grip to rest down in the fingers. You need to create a strong grip by letting your left hand remain turned a little to the right, like it was before you gripped the club. You need to check the clubface in order to make sure that the leading border remains in a square position. Then match your right hand to the left by fitting the left thumb comfortably below the support of your right palm. The heel pad should lie on top of the grip when you rest your arm.
Now you should be able to see two to three knuckles when you look down at your grip. Also the “V”s that are created by your thumbs and index fingers should aim at your right shoulder. Ensure that your grip is not too strong either.
