I have 4 pairs of Ecco shoes. For those of you who are shoe aficionados, the Ecco World Class are the golfer's Allen- Edmunds. Comfortable is not saying enough. Granted $400 is a bit to spend on golf shoes, but when you actually walk the game and not dawdle around in a cart, you will be grateful. My only suggestion for anyone considering these is to take out the spikes, and walk around inside the house for a couple of nights to get the breaking in started. Most dress shoes need a little loosening before you go off to that all-important meeting where foot pain is the last thing you need to think about.

Treat these shoes as you would a nice paid of Crockett and Jones, or Edward Green, or J.M. Weston shoes. Rotate these out. Your foot will sweat when you play golf. Invest in cedar shoe trees, let the shoes air out for 24+ hours, and store them in a nice shoe bag. If you travel a lot like I do, pick up (or ask the wife nicely like I did "to sew" ) some nice velvet shoe bags that are divided, so the shoes don't scuff each other.
