David Howell Returns To Action
David Howell returns to action on the European Tour after a three-week break at the Maybank Malaysian Open. After a dreadful 2007 season where the 32-year-old came crashing down from a career-high third on the European Tour Order in 2006 to 142nd, he managed to retain seventh-place at the Qatar Masters. However, he managed to make just one other cut in the other three events through the Middle East and India. So Howell knows that he needs to put in a lot of hard work to make a comeback in the season.
After missing the cut at the Indian Masters in Delhi, he went back home to focus on improving his game and now he feels totally rejuvenated for the challenges that lie ahead. He is looking forward to play a good game. He said that he knew when he is playing well and when he is not. He is confident that his form will improve and he will win accolades.
Howell had claimed one of the largest wins of his career at the HSBC Champions in Shanghai in 2005. He is a big follower of the European Tour’s Asian events. He feels the more exposure you have playing around the world, the more well rounded you become. He is happy with his win in China but wants to win in Malaysia as well as other in Asia.
