Gregory Bourdy of France denied David Howell what would have been a great victory for by winning the Estoril Open de Portugal at the third hole of a play-off at Oitavos Dunes. Scot Alastair Forsyth, seeked a second win in three weeks. He had tied on the 18 under par mark of 266 after two closing birdies. Spain’s Pablo Martin’s win in the Portuguese Open at Oitavos Dunes last year won him the title of being  the first amateur ever to be victorious in an event on the circuit. Now he aims to imitate Aaron Baddeley at the Australian Open in 1999 and 2000 by following a win as an amateur with a triumphant defence as a professional. Martin has always been very focused.
